August Weber Portfolio

The people behind 70 years of tradition

"What makes a family business that has existed for 70 years? The people. Their stories. Their passion for what they do."

When August Weber GmbH commissioned me to photograph their team, I knew: This would be more than just an ordinary business shoot. I wanted to capture the spirit that defines this traditional Munich company, from the managers in the office to the climbers at dizzying heights. A company that has been providing top-level building cleaning and facility management for three generations deserves images that reflect this expertise and team spirit. And that was precisely my mission.

The faces of the company

Every person has a story.

Before I picked up the camera, I listened. Every portrait should show not just a face, but the person behind it. The pride in the eyes of long-serving employees. The determination of the managers. The warmth that shines through every smile. In a relaxed atmosphere, authentic portraits were created—not stiff business photos, but real people who are passionate about what they do.

Where work comes alive

Now things got exciting:

I had the opportunity to accompany the teams in their daily work. And what work it is!

High above the ground

The industrial climbers and window cleaners, working on facades with impressive routine. Their trust in their equipment, their concentration in every movement, pure professionalism. These photographs were taken with the utmost respect for their work and their courage.

The invisible hand movements

In the morning sun, I climb onto the rooftops with my camera. Up here, between sky and horizon, I document the invisible: employees whose hands are precision instruments. Water droplets dance in the light, sweat beads on the skin, concentration hangs in the air. My task? To capture the essence, the moment when effort transforms into brilliance, when teamwork becomes tangible. Each image is a tribute to those who quietly achieve great things.

In the countryside

The gardeners meticulously maintain the grounds with care and attention to detail. The contrast between their vigorous work and the gentleness of nature reveals another facet of the company, one that operates with respect for the environment.

From office floors to skyscraper facades, this project took me to places I don't usually photograph. Wearing a helmet and safety harness, and with immense respect for the work of these people, I captured the results. Images that showcase the diversity and humanity of a company that's more than just a service provider—it's a family.

I was right in the thick of it, not just a bystander. Only in this way can images be created that convey the energy and respect for these professions.
